Mercer University's
Mentorship Program
Mercer University HOSA believes in leadership through service. One way we are living out this principle is by starting the Mercer University Mentorship Program for the 2024-2025 school year, but we need YOUR help to make it successful!

What is it?
This program is a way for college HOSA members to connect and network with high school HOSA members. Mercer HOSA members will be able to sign up to mentor a high school HOSA chapter. They will be a leader, resource, and “advisor in training” for the students and the advisors of that chapter by offering services to the chapter.
How can we help the students?
We can be a resource by offering help with:
-
Applying to college
-
Picking a college
-
Picking a major
-
Studying for HOSA Competitions for conferences
-
Applying for HOSA scholarships
-
Reading and correcting scholarship essays
-
Meeting with HOSA officer board and giving them ideas for their HOSA chapter and leadership advice

How can we help the advisors?
We can help advisors by helping:
-
Plan fundraisers and volunteer events
-
Attend meetings as guest speakers as individuals or a panel
-
Volunteer at their events
Does this count towards the point system?
Absolutely! You will get points through volunteer hours you spend with the chapter you are assigned to as well as points for advertising their events on your social media accounts!
